CHEMEXCIL Workshop strengthens trade compliance for India’s chemical exporters

CHEMEXCIL (Basic Chemicals, Cosmetics & Dyes Export Promotion Council, set up by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India) today organised a Capacity Building Workshop on “Building Confidence in Trade Compliance – From AEO to SCOMET Compliance and ChemIndia Portal” at The Park, Kolkata.

This workshop was the second edition in CHEMEXCIL’s ongoing Trade Compliance Series, following the first successful session held in Mumbai on 25th September 2025. The initiative aims to strengthen exporters’ preparedness and align India’s chemical industry with evolving global trade compliance standards.

The event was graced by Chief Guest R. Srinivasa Naik, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Kolkata, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Government of India, and Guest of Honour Vishnu Kant, ITS, Joint DGFT, Kolkata. The technical sessions were conducted by Joshua Ebenezer, Principal Consultant, Nucov FaciliTrade, and an expert in customs and trade law.
