The humble kitchen of Indian households is at the cusp of a tech revolution–AI and IoT technologies are helping in a snazzy makeover of the domestic cooking space.When 31-year-olds, Eshwar K Vikas and Rakesh Patil, co-founded smart kitchen appliance brand Beyond Appliances in August 2024, the idea was to innovate and transform the daily cooking experience for users. “Our journey is deeply rooted in a fundamental observation that has intrigued me for years–the Indian kitchen, a space where families spend 2-3 critical hours daily, has remained largely untouched by meaningful technological innovation,” Eshwar K Vikas, CEO and Co-founder at Beyond Appliances states.
Vikas, an electrical engineer and entrepreneur who began his initial journey with kitchen robotics brand Mukunda Foods, saw an opportunity to transform this key segment in the Indian market. His Co-Founder, Rakesh Patil, and Chief Technology Officer at Beyond Appliances is involved in technological innovation and strategic direction for the company.
